Create Your First Program

After you create your account, you will be sent to the Programs page. This is where all the programs you create can be accessed. To get started with creating a program, click on Create New Program

The first step in creating your program is to fill out Program Settings. Read more about each field below:

Program Title - This is what your program will be called throughout the Authoritive platform. Don't worry; you can change it anytime, and use a different title for marketing when the program goes live.

Objective - Your program's objective should describe what you expect participants in your program to experience and ultimately accomplish. Whatever you write here will only be seen by you and Authoritive once your program has been submitted for review. Your participants will not be able to see this content.

In this tutorial, we discuss how to get started with defining your program's objective.

Cadence - Your cadence settings define the timing and delivery of your SMS program. By default, your participants will receive a message every day at 9:00 AM in their local time zone, and the program will begin for a participant on a date of their choosing when they purchase or enroll in your program. All of these default settings can be changed based on your preferences and the needs of your program:

  • Custom Cadence & Days - Rather than sending daily messages, you can choose to send messages on specific days of the week. For example, you can choose only to send messages during weekdays and not on weekends. You can always change this setting, but it may have significant content implications the later your wait to change it.
  • Program Starts  - You can choose a specific day of the week when your program should start. If it's important that your program always begins on a Monday, select "Monday" in the dropdown. You can always change this setting, but it may have significant content implications the later your wait to change it.
  • Duration - This is the length of your program. Most SMS programs fall in the 21 to 30-day range. Whatever duration you set at this stage will determine the number of topics available to you during the next phase of program development. You can always change this setting, but it may have significant content implications the later your wait to change it.

Now that you've configured your program's basic details, you can move on to creating topics by clicking on the Topics button. Learn more about topics here.
