How to Design Audio Tiles and Message Headers
Audio tiles and message headers are graphics added to your program that offer a visual element so participants don't exclusively receive text bubbles and/or links. This provides you with an opportunity to showcase your personal brand while adding to the overall user experience.
Audio tile: The graphic added to your audio recording that displays what your audience is listening to.
Message Header: The graphic sent to add branding when there is no audio recording or the audio is being delivered via URL.
Designing Audio Tiles and Message Header:
When designing keep in mind that this is a great opportunity to showcase your brand.
- Tips & Ideas
- Include the basics: Program Title and Your Name
- Keep it simple. Don't forget it will deliver to your participant's phone so small text, images, or icons will be hard to see.
- Avoid using white as the an audio tile background color. White audio tiles make it difficult to see the "unmute" button that will be added by the phone later.

- Creating a program based on a book? Consider designing your tile based on that cover art. See examples below. Audio Tile Size and Dimensions:
Sizing Audio Tiles and Message Header:
- Audio Tiles: JPG, 1:1 ratio Less than 500KB.
- Message Headers: JPG, 5:2 ratio, Less than 500KB.
How Will It Look Once Delivered?
Depending on how large of a file you are sending it could appear one of two ways.
- Messages that are 500KB or less will deliver with a "PLAY" icon in the center of the tile.
- Messages larger than 500KB will have a small "UNMUTE" icon in the top right corner.
This is why avoiding white as the tile background color is important. It's hard to see the "unmute" button on a solid white image.
How To Add To Your Program:
- Audio Tiles: Must be added to the audio recording prior to being uploaded into your program.
- Message Headers: Can be added as an attachment within the platform in the 'Create' tab
